UPMC Kids Free Sunday

Senator John Heinz History Center 1212 Smallman st, Pittsburgh, PA

Every Sunday in June, the Senator John Heinz History Center will offer free admission to all kids age 17 and under, thanks to UPMC! Visitors can peer into the cockpit of a 48-foot Huey helicopter at the museum’s newest exhibition, The Vietnam War: 1945-1975. Enjoy the History Center’s six floors of award-winning exhibitions and interactive learning spaces, including Kidsburgh play zone, the UPMC SmartSteps, the western Pennsylvania Sports Museum, Discovery Place, the original Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood set and puppets, and more! This offer is open to the general public and UPMC Health Plan member ID card is not required.

Guys, here’s your chance to speak one-on-one with a health coach or clinician about health topics like heart disease and stroke prevention, diabetes, prostate/colorectal cancer, stress management, and more. All are welcome to attend and take advantage of FREE screenings, enjoy light refreshments and fun activities for the entire family, and enter for a chance to win prizes. Moon Hike and Star Party

CitiParks Rangers and PPC Naturalists will share stories about the night sky and other observable natural phenomena during an evening of hiking and relaxation. Please come dressed for the weather! This event is free and dog-friendly (all dogs must be leashed).   Registration isn’t required for this event, but we encourage you to RSVP and let us know if you plan on attending. This will also sign you up for a reminder email closer to the date of the event.   This event will be canceled in the event of inclement or exceptionally cloudy weather. Cancellation will be announced at 12:00 pm the day of.
