Fleet Feet Liberty Mile

What’s short, fast and fun for the whole family? The Fleet Feet Liberty Mile, Pittsburgh’s favorite one-mile timed street race, Downtown. From pros to average Joes, this race is for everyone. The event features five waves of runners from the recreational level to the elite level with competitors, participants and pups alike. Safari Walks at Erie Zoo – Meet Giraffe Keeper

Join us at the Erie Zoo for Safari Walks! Enjoy Safari Walks and special activities at the Erie Zoo on the dates listed below. UPMC for Life members receive complimentary, all-day admission on these dates. You can walk at your own pace and enjoy the Zoo! To receive complimentary admission, show your UPMC for Life member ID card at the admission gates any time throughout the day. Special activity events need to meet at 10:15 am at the special activity exhibit.

Zoomba at Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium

Join us for ZOOmba, a wildly unique fitness series that offers a rare opportunity for participants to connect with their inner animal.   Zoom your way through the Zoo to our ZOOmba class, a high-energy, cardiovascular workout that will energize your body and uplift your soul. All ZOOmba levels welcome! This class takes place in the Aquarium. Registrants can enter the Zoo at 4 pm. The class starts at 6 PM. Check the website for pricing details.

Family Friendly Running Downtown Tour

Join us for a family friendly running tour of Downtown Pittsburgh! We've designed a special shorter route especially for families and kids - we'll see some interesting sites, like dinosaurs and a cell phone disco, as well as learn about the interesting history of Downtown Pittsburgh, from the French and Indian War to the Underground Railroad. Run Around the Square

Most of the first mile of the 5K winds through Regent Square streets with plenty of warm, friendly cheers. The remainder of the race is through Frick Park’s cross-country trails, with the final stretch heading down the Falls Ravine Trail and ending in Fern Hollow. The 1.5 Mile Run/Walk takes place on the charming streets of Regent Square. The family dog can also join in on the fun. Dogs may be registered for ONLY the 1.5 Mile Run/Walk.
