Downtown’s showcase Farmers Market will be celebrating its 15th season with fresh produce and goods from local vendors while providing the Downtown community with a unique and convenient shopping experience that enlivened the city. Each Thursday during the season, an average of 7,000 – 10,000 office employees, residents, and visitors to Pittsburgh come to Market Square to enjoy the gourmet treats, fresh grocery finds, and unique entertainment opportunities throughout the market.

Museums are places for renewal, celebrating the great accomplishments of people and cultures. Instructor Stefanie Zito emphasizes stretching and relaxation for an energizing boost headed into the weekend. Sessions take place Thursdays from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Class sessions are open to all levels and to ages 18 and over. Please bring a mat. All classes are drop-in; no online pre-registration is available. A 10-class pass can be purchased at the door for $75, $50 for members and students.

Free Friday Walking Tours: Upper Penn-Liberty

There is much to admire on this relatively short walk along Penn and Liberty avenues between Ninth and Tenth streets in Downtown Pittsburgh, including the August Wilson Cultural Center, David L. On Saturday June 1, 2019 Rainbow Kitchen & UPMC Health Plan will be holding our 15th Annual Walk and Ride Against Hunger. To fulfill our mission and continue our success in the WAR against Hunger. UPMC Kids Free Sundays

Every Sunday in June, the Senator John Heinz History Center will offer free admission to all kids age 17 and under, thanks to UPMC! Visitors can peer into the cockpit of a 48-foot Huey helicopter at the museum’s newest exhibition, The Vietnam War: 1945-1975. Enjoy the History Center’s six floors of award-winning exhibitions and interactive learning spaces, including Kidsburgh play zone, the UPMC SmartSteps, the western Pennsylvania Sports Museum, Discovery Place, the original Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood set and puppets, and more!
